I have a CF unit from a Canon DSLR.
2 pins have become dislodged from the board.
I don't have the tools or experience to do the fine soldering to reattach them.
Does anyone know of someone who can do this type of repair?

You don’t mention the camera model (and your profile doesn’t either) but if it is one of the models that supports SD in addition to CF I would just switch to the SD format and move on.

Canon of course can likely repair your camera but there are also some good independnt shops as well, many of which will likely be less expensive. One that I have used (not for a CF repair) but for routine sensor cleaning is Perfect Image Camera in Lancaster PA.

Their website is at https://perfectimagecamera.com/ (external link)

Give them a call and they likely can give you an estimate over the phone. It isn’t just a matter of soldering in the pins, most like the board will be replaced. I would anticipate about $175 to $250, assuming I understand your issue correctly.

Thanks for the reply! Its an old 5D classic, cf only option. I was trying to get it done cheaper than a used cf unit on ebay. Doesn't seem to be much of a market that I can find for skilled tradesman in this area. So I bought a soldering tip (a very fine point) to replace my current tip and give it a try myself. Covid dislodged the job so I'm trying to penny pinch this back together.

I honestly think a shop would charge more for repairing that camera than buying a used one in good working order.

Good luck with trying to repair it yourself. I'm horrible at soldering small components so admire anyone that could make a repair like the one you've described. :-)

One thought: Maybe you can find someone selling a broken 5D cheap and use it for parts? It would likely still cost you over $100 though.
