I was just watching the engine fire video from the Boeing 777 incident. I'm assuming this may be the ONLY video of that engine fire. Maye another. But had me wondering:

Where does one find one interested in buying that video?

What does one get paid for video like that?

Did a bit of Googling but hard to find the right terms to search.

As told to me by a retired private investigator. “Lawyers are a photographer’s best source of income.”

The only bad part about that video is whoever took it posted it to a social media site. Therefore it went immediately into public domain and therefore cannot be sold to the highest bidder. Needed to go to Copyright office and get a quick copyright protection and then sold to the media outlets.

Do a search for News photo agency or News video agency. There are lots out there that specialise in getting your photo/video into the media.
