Did a brief search, but did not see an obvious answer. I'm trying to find out if you need to purchase a separate adapter to use modifiers on the extension head for the XPLOR 400Pro. I wouldn't think so, but the description doesn't really say. Thanks for any help!

It was initially not sold with an adapter, but it might be sold with one now.

Thank you for the response. I did go ahead and order one, since they’re only about $20. We’ll see when it all arrives.

It is still not sold with an adaptor. Glad I bought one.

So, next question... how do you store and carry the remote heads? I had ass-u-me-d they would come with a carry case like the strobes do. But, nope... just a cardboard box. I'm thinking of picking up a small pelican case or something to put them in. There is no room in the cases with the strobes.

I use Paul C. Buff padded bags designed for their "White Lightning" series for both the AD600 and the AD600Pro. The bags are large enough to hold both the flash and the extension head. With the equipment in padded bags, the bags themselves can go any any hard-sided case or suitcase.

The Velcro dividers of the cases that Adorama ships with the AD600 and AD600Pro can also be reconfigured to include the extension heads (I keep the tube mounted in the extension head, so there is no need in the case for separate spaces for the tube, the battery, and the battery charger). If you didn't get your flash from Adorama, you can still order the cases separately...they're not terribly expensive.

I did get them from Adorama. The 400Pro bags don't have any room left in them, and aren't configurable.

I will look at the bags from my Rovelights and see if they can be reconfigured, but I don't think they were velcro dividers. I don't know why I didn't think of looking at them.

I'll also look at the PCB bags. Thanks!

I'll be danged. They're not. I had presumed they were just a smaller version of the AD600 (big) and AD600Pro (slightly smaller) cases.

In that case, check out those cases.

The Adorama AD600 case is larger and costs less at USD $40.

The Adorama AD600Pro case is smaller and costs more at USD $43. Other than size, their construction is identical. They're soft-side, padded cases with padded Velcro dividers. I don't use mine for lights, I use mine for other purposes.
