He fears infection to a greater degree than he fears head trauma, apparentlly. Riding a motorcycle, one would think he would have a helmet on, and remove the mask since he is outdoors and farther than 6' from anyone, so his approach seems rather bassackward. but it is his right to have recto-cranial inversion, if he so desires.

I thought about that, too. Then I realized a helmet could accomplish the same thing, with a full face shield in place...keeps the bugs out of the eyes, too.
