These are great pictures from a story that has caught national attention. There was a lot of talk about this incident on ESPN and I have seen it on every news website in the last few days.

Great shots, they show a lot of emotion. i haven't really been following that story, very sad.

Thanks all for the comments - the story continues to grow. We'll all have to just sit back and see where it goes.

Great work, Croasdail! An extremely tough environment to meter in, and you nailed these!

Powerful photos. The first one makes me feel guilty--like I have to apologize. Powerful.

Thanks for the comments Curtis and Sarah.... it has been an interesting. I am ready for things to quit down a little but the story seems to be still red hot.

The photos are captivating, believe me, but I'm incredibly intrigued by the story.

The only reason that no arrests have been made, is because they are on the team. I hate the reasoning behind that. If a few young, aspiring women had all the trust and stability literally raped from them, then the ones responsible need to rot in a jail cell. If there is anything I morally detest, it's rape.

Great photos.

Feardrops..... thanks for commenting. I agree with you on the rape issue. Since I have a multi-ethnic family, I also detest racism... or most ism's... but racism the most. You combine the two and you really see the underbelly of humanity. The encouraging thing about this tragedy, it has also shown that there are compassionate strangers that are willing to come together when an unjustice seems to have been done and take a stand. Justice though is the hard part of this, and that is what it makes this hard. These boys are innocent as far as we know - no charges have been brought - we just know something very wrong happend. By whom, well have to wait and hope the wheels of justice are able to give us some clarity on this. In the mean time, I just hope the media don't destroy my little home town here, or the rest of really great institution.

On that note - congrats to the Duke Ladies Basketball team. One more to go. It would be just so appropriate if they could lead Duke sports out of this cloud it is in right now.
