Apr 20, 2021 17:06 | #138 Here are a few more of the second set of slides. Again, none are labeled just stamped with dates, 1978 & 1979. These were all loaded in 2 carousals so they all seem to be of the event(s). Image hosted by forum (1099062) © Pigpen101 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Apr 29, 2021 11:51 | #140 Finally got the old roll back from the lab, the roll of 620 that I found in the Brownie Hawkeye. It's at least 45 years old because it was discontinued in 1976. The chemicals used ( I think it said "C22") to develop don't exist anymore but the lab said it could be developed but they would be B&W even though it was color film. These are awesome! You've inspired me to go out and try to shoot some of the NYC ones to compare, 6dII/1dIII|Bronica Sq-Ai/EOS 3/A1

I printed out a few that I recognize along my commute and will start with those. I am thinking 80mm on Bronica SQ with 645 back on slide as a nod to the OP. Gonna location scout on the way home tonight. 6dII/1dIII|Bronica Sq-Ai/EOS 3/A1

Sep 12, 2021 15:19 | #146 My wife's sister brought some old photos for me to scan into my computer, here's a couple of her father in WWII. I don't know my airplanes as well as I should, but I think the first is a P-51. Is the other on a P-38? Image hosted by forum (1121056) © Terry McDaniel [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Very cool, and good scans. Do you know a year or wherabouts?

My wife says he would never talk about his time in the war. I would guess these were taken in England, I don’t think the P51 was used much in the Pacific. Could be wrong about that though. TerryMc

The P51 was used in both theaters. In the pacific it was used as an escort fighter and a ground attack plane. This one could very well be in the pacific as it looks to be set up to carry rockets on the outboard mounts and 2 bombs on the inboard. Since they weren't carrier based they would take off from airfields on islands like Iwo Jima.

Thanks, I just found out the plane in the second photo is a P-38. I was leaning that way, but wasn’t sure. TerryMc
