Until now I have been doing all my imaging with a DSLR. I figured that I had enough experience to justify purchasing a dedicated astro cam, the ASI2600MC.

It wasn't love at first light, I had a few issues working out how to pilot a CMOS camera compared to a DSLR but I got there.

NGC3372 is a fairly forgiving target and so I decided to target .

60x180s Gain 100/Offset 50, 50x darks, stacked in DSS, processed in PS.

Looking forward to seeing more of your new journey with the CMOS camera. You’re off to a really nice start!
