I had predicted $5800 a few weeks back and with the recent RF/5D4 price increases, that 6000 price tag didn’t surprise me.

Not worth it for what I shoot and the gear I currently have…

Canon would shock and disappoint the target market. There are lots of Pros who believe that FF gives the best possible quality, which may or not be true for various needs, but is certainly true for those who will fill the frame with the largest available lenses and want shallower DOF (more background blur).

Again canon already stated it was a full frame sensor in their announcement, so no go with it being a crop sensor.

Press event the same day as the Apple event. Canon can’t be thrilled with that.

Well, unless Canon is gonna roll out Spyware I think I'd rather hear from them.

One nice thing about the upcoming R3 and R1 cameras.... we know there is a market for them.... it's likely we'll see quite a few R5 cameras show up on the used market. Good news for some of us that are economically challenged.

It will be interesting to see how many used R5 cameras go up for sale.

Was hoping for at least 20FPS with mechanical shutter like the 1DXIII can do.

There is no R1 at this point. No development announcement or anything.
