Ok, it's really not a battle. MORE LIKE A SHOWDOWN!! Ok, not that either. This is my own personal challenge but would love it if anyone else here would like to share their results. Over the last month I have torn down, cleaned, & lightly repaired my old box cameras that went from sitting on a shelf in my office for 10 years to sitting in a box in the cellar for another 10. I have played with toy/box cameras in the past, but very little, & with none of these.

This is not a challenge or a test or a critique. This is mostly just to check & see if the cameras work & if the limited controls can produce decent results. If I were anyway serious I'd at least use the same film in each camera, but I'm not. In fact, I've made it a point to shoot these 5 cameras with 5 different films just for fun. The films I'll be using: 620=Portra 160, Tmax 100, Provia 100 120=Ektar 100, Ektachrome 100. Three of the cameras must use 620 film, one can use an altered roll of 120 & the last can hold a roll of 120 with plastic adaptors.

This entire thing will probably take a month or two, depending on how much time I have (not to mention $$, this going-back-to-film thing is not cheap). So, please post any shots taken with any old, cheap camera. They don't need to be recent pics.

The cameras are : L-R Kodak Duaflex IV, Brownie Target Six-16, Argus Seventy-Five, Brownie Hawkeye, & Kodak Duaflex II.

Funny, I just noticed you can see my ceiling tile in all the "viewing" lenses.:-D

"Coronet" I believe, is the name Kodak sold under in Europe??? Looks older than any I have. What size film? Have you tried shooting with it?

Haven't tried any 120/620 yet, but I shot a roll of 35mm in the Six-16. It required two sets of DIY 3D pieces (I bought, did not create). Adaptors to allow me to shoot 35mm in a 120 camera, then adaptors to allow me to shoot 120 in a 616 camera. This was a test roll, adjustments need to be made. Scanned before my Lomo scanning mask arrived so these are not completely flat/straight scans. Here are a few of the first sprocket shot.

An old RR car in town & an old business yards next to the tracks (you can see passing train far left).

A few vertical, definitely suited for places like cities or big trees. Trees in neighbors yard.

A slightly better use of vertical space. That train I mentioned above.

I found this in a thrift store, takes 120 film but didn't tried it. It has a portrait attachment lens.

That's a cool looking camera! That's the first time I've every seen "see manual" directly on the camera.

Agfa Box 44. The front plate was missing, so I taped a carton on.
