Major glitch when posting a reply

This has happened twice today, in the same thread, when I replied to posts.

Isn't this the way it's meant to?
Or have I missed something in your post.
When replying to a post in the midst of a heap of others it shows immediately below that post, temporarily, then in its correct position later or when refreshed.
I reckon it's another of Peka's ingenious features

No. (1) GlimmerMan's post is there twice and my reply isn't there at all. (2) Both times this happened, I was replying to the last post in the thread, so that the "shown here for your comfort" note didn't belong.

Perhaps the response got censored

The same thing happened just now when I submitted POST 19233453 .

I had to refresh to get my post on the screen.

Worked.

I have an idea why it may have happened. Threads with lots of followed have a delay in reply processing, which may have timed out the reply fetch. I have done a fix for the slowness, but can not put it in use just now.

That is what matters, the bug is "cosmetic", so nothing serious was happening, really.

I also could be some error in your browser's javascript interpreter. What browser do you use?
If this happens again, please hit F12 function key and see under tabs "console" and "network" if there are any lines in red (error).

F12 was no help. It has two functions: increase loudness and show abbreviated Dashboard. Nothing about tabs. Is this function perhaps on another key? No, I tried them all.

If F12 doesn't work, try Ctr+Shift+i. It should open Web Developer Tools at the bottom (by default) of the Firefox window with a number of tabs (Inspector, Console, Debugger etc.).
The hamburger menu at the top right, Web Developer/check Web Developer Tools does the same trick.

Thanks, but that combination does nothing. This is a Mac.

I am not a computer guru at all, sure wish I was.... but I do not see what the "Major Glitch" is you are referring to Ohlook.....

Even on a Mac, Firefox must have the equivalent of the 'hamburger' menu that includes Settings/Options (No idea what Apple calls it) etc. Web Developer Tools should be there too.
