No surprise...the Alpha mount line went zombie a while back, but bringing out a lens and a body to give the impression of life in the line. The A99II was annouced in 2016, but the world knew the real truth back then.

B&H gives false billing in their listing , calling A77II 'mirrorless', although Sony called it 'SLT' for its Translucent Mirror Technology, one could say it was the digital version of Canon Pellix.
The A77 was launched about 10 years ago, and one of the critiques was a somewhat dim EVF in bright light, which could be explained as the result of semisilvered mirror in an optical viewfinder, but not explainable in EVF. A review by Imaging Resource summarized by "EVF is still an EVF, dynamic range doesn't match that of the human eye" in the cons. The A7II fixed the dim finder but AF lag was still present. With the last A99II, Sony got it right almost...video issues.

I think Canon has already done the same as well.
