Nice! This is the first I've heard of night-blooming cacti small enough for indoors. The flowers on the tall kind in the backyard look like larger versions of yours, with more stamens, and are very fragrant. They appear a little later in the year.

This is the second cabbage core I've planted. After a few days, it started to show a bit of green. POST 19232958 tells the story of the first one.

It is amazing that some of the greens will continue to grow after they have been cut..

These are not particularly fragrant. The blossoms last around 48 hours.

I set up an overnight timelapse video some eleven years ago and put it online. Not sure though whether I could find it again.

So far I've just seen them grow from the center of the stalk, standing in water..
I'm pretty sure it would transfer to soil.. I'll have to try it.
