I've often asked myself "How good is good enough?" when deciding to upgrade. A lot of times what I had wasn't the limits to what I could do but it was the "Operator" that was the limit. The only real exception I found was in Birds in flight, and I still can't Get that with any regular success.

Succesful BiF photography is a combination of correct settings, technique and practice. Start with the larger water birds (Herons, Egrets, geese, swans etc) which are fairly common and are all slow fliers which don't tend to change direction suddenly.

Good advice. All I see these days where I live are pigeons and they are even slower. :-)

Thanks very much. I just liked the repetition effect of the storage sheds. The rest was a bonus. Cheers.

I nearly sold my EF 16-35L. I'm glad I didn't.

Picked up a Nikon P7000 for 25 bucks just to add to my everyday carry collection. A quick snap and convert in LR and count me satisfied.

Just a tiny glimpse of the utter devastation that Gabrielle has caused. Apples and bins in an area, now a lake, that is usually grass.
