Now this is a REALLY COOL illusion IMO. Looks like that hulking "creature" on the right is getting ready to pounce on the little lizard. Great timing and composition!

Exactly. I almost thought it was an alligator.

Yes, this was in Zion and the trail was entirely in afternoon shadow. I'm sure the rock still retained the day's heat.
