I'll be going to Vegas next month and was wondering if the SpiderPro Duo would be a good idea for carrying around my camera/so? One camera would have the Sigma 105 1.4 while the other would have a 16-35mm 2.8 attached.

Any thoughts.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

In the video, I did not see evidence that the person in the demo had to release some catch to pull the camera up. That makes me fearful that someone simply comes by and grabs the camera off its holster. The ease of removal may be convenient for a pro working a wedding, but what about prevention of opportunistic theft, particularly in a town like Las Vegas?!

The other issue is that two cameras are on one of the widest parts of the body, making it even wider. In the crowded and busy sidewalks of LV, it will be very prone to passersby bumping the cameras while they are occupied chatting with their friends.

I have a "hand-strap" that I use when I'm on the strip ... It fits it quite tightly, and it also prevents me from dropping it ..
The other body is in the Domke Bag which is canvas and in "front" of me, and not on my side where I once had a Japanese tourist hit my 200mm lens and almost broke his elbow ...

I love that hand-strap, it almost lets my hand relax a little, I don't have to hold it so tight ...
Those 1Ds babies are heavy, lol

I agree with Wilt, not a secure system when walking through crowds. And bulky, too.

I would go with a Black Rapid type setup or Cotton Carrier.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Thanks for the replies and I'll look into the options you've suggested everyone.

Some photo ops…

Well worth the one hour drive from LV is Valley of Fire State Park. For the details see http://parks.nv.gov/parks/valley-of-fire (external link) For the details for some images see https://www.google.com …Aw&biw=1269&bih=804&dpr=2 (external link).

There is also Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area 15 miles more or less outside of town. Nice, but doesn’t hold a candle to Valley of Fire. See https://www.blm.gov …ds/nevada/red-rock-canyon (external link)

Thanks for the suggestions, those places along with the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon are on the places to make stops at before leaving for home.
