With the new ASI camera I've decided to push my meager skills a bit and try for some harder targets, and as such a friend mentioned super nova remains so I gave that a try.
This is the remains of the Vela supernova, about 20 x 360s images on a night with rubbish seeing (had all sorts of guiding issues). I've no idea where the artifacts came from but I'm ignoring them until I've got loads more data and they'll hopefully just get wiped out... or I'll have to fix them
We are getting around 2 nights a month of clear weather where I can image so I expect this will take some time to complete but I can see some merit in it ... and for once I wish I had a wider FOV rather than the other way around!
