With the new ASI camera I've decided to push my meager skills a bit and try for some harder targets, and as such a friend mentioned super nova remains so I gave that a try.

This is the remains of the Vela supernova, about 20 x 360s images on a night with rubbish seeing (had all sorts of guiding issues). I've no idea where the artifacts came from but I'm ignoring them until I've got loads more data and they'll hopefully just get wiped out... or I'll have to fix them

We are getting around 2 nights a month of clear weather where I can image so I expect this will take some time to complete but I can see some merit in it ... and for once I wish I had a wider FOV rather than the other way around!

This looks great!
We have a similarly looking nebula in the Northern hemisphere - the Spaghetti Nebula. One of the targets on my "to do" list. Unfortunately I don't have small scopes to image it but hopefully this year I'll get a small APO refractor.

That's ashamed you have those two rows of dead pixels. Did you by chance shoot darks and flats? That should have eliminated the dead rows.
Worse case, you could use Photoshop to zoom in and select the row on either side of the dead row and do a copy/paste routine.

The remains are very very faint so I'll need hours more before I do a final edit. If the artifacts remain I'll figure it out but for the moment CBF. I've another couple of hours to add but there's a forecast for a couple of clear nights soon so if it pans out I may get enough to start work.

I have done darks but not flats.
