Thank you kindly Mike.
I inquired at the Audubon center.
That Parakeet appears to be an adult morph.

A morph, or color phase, happens when birds of the same species regularly develop more than one plumage color.
The morph plumage can be any color.

Thank you Paul...very interesting. This Nanday parakeet in flight is one heck of a nice shot! Definitely not an easy capture!

Nice shot! Beautiful blue eyes.

What an appealing shot of the Brandt's Cormorant, Ken. It is such a 3D looking capture. His eye is such a deep blue looking color. It captures my attention immediately. Love it.

Thank you both. I had a couple of other shots with more interesting head positions, but this one showed that sapphire eye the best.

He is a very intelligent bird.

1. You totally can not see him when he hides behind tree branches.

2. Or, can only he see you if he wants to.

To think another way....there's always another way.

Everything about this shot is perfect, Sid! You show this hawk off so beautifully! The lighting is fantastic.

Thanks so much Mike, your compliments are much appreciated. The bird is doing all the work!
