The lighting wasn't the easiest for imaging the bird, but it works well with the snow. Nice shot!

Very nice clean photograph, Richard!

Stupendous shot, Ted! It's not often that an opportunity like this presents itself with Bald Eagles.

Nice capture, Dave! I think the Norwegian crows are prettier than out all black crows.

Beautiful capture of the ring-necked pheasant, Mark! Very nicely photographed.

What a sublime shot of the house sparrow, Tom! It's really a beauty!

Nice coot shot, fotoi! Great sharpness and color.

This shot is so nice SYS! Very attractive.

I love this close-up of the Great Blue Heron Kirk! I really appeals to me a lot.

Thank you Mike. The last time I had the opportunity was 2012 and the eagles were facing the wrong way.:-(

Thank you. I always shoot with the EC to the right since most of bird shots are with the sun in their back, but even then I usually have to mess with the shadow slider in the post-edit. Snow helps to lighten the face a bit, and it's nice to shoot when the sun's out in full after the snow for the natural rim lighting effect.

I love this shot! The bird is very pretty, the shot is nicely backlit but well enough exposed on the shadow side to show good detail. The snow in the air pops and I like that. Good job! wish it would snow here in Florida, ha! (fat chance):-P

Thank you. Cassin's Finch has that pretty dark red hair that sticks up and is especially attractive to shoot in snow but on sunny day. Winter here in Colorado is mostly sunny, so even the RF800 works out well.

Lots of cotton wool Ray. Is that so they have a soft landing :p
I thought you were back off the coast.
How far inland do gulls go these days?
We used to get them here when plowing. Never happens nowadays.
