Lots of cotton wool Ray. Is that so they have a soft landing :p
I thought you were back off the coast.
How far inland do gulls go these days?
We used to get them here when plowing. Never happens nowadays.

Cotton wool! Real snow Richard, Real snow!:-) Fortunately we don't seem to get too much of it these days - Thank goodness! Although I loved it as a kid - but that is another story. However; it is very cold and icy here at the moment and as you are probably aware the price of our gas/electricity has gone through the roof and still rising.-? For some unfortunately - it is a case of Eating or Heating.
I'm about 50miles from most parts of the coast but only about 5 miles from the Thames and also the River Medway. The gulls frequently come inland from the river particularly in the bad weather. Graceful birds - We love to see them - in limited quantities - of course.:-) I certainly recall them swarming over the plough and also scavenging the local landfill tips.

It snowed all day yesterday, but the birds still emptied 3 feeders. This little one liked hitting my window feeder.
