I was in a large open NWR hiking on the paths surrounded by canals and saw some activity in one of the mangroves, looked like a few mockingbirds. As I got closer I realized one of the "mockingbirds" was a shrike and he had JUST caught this hornet. And he was at eye level!!! Ed each of those shots are very nicely composed.
