Terrific job with this osprey, Kirk! I really like it.

Thanks a lot, Mike. I appreciate the nice comment.

Many thanks Mike for your greeting s and well wished also your comments here and all through the year.
Trust you're relaxing today or at least from work and tedious stuff and not over indulging on matter that affects the body adversely
Everything in moderation they say

Rest assured the little wrens are in good care.
Growing teenagers can be a bit a bit of a handful at times though, seen here today, both landing together on dad's patch whilst he's trying to escape the post Christmas mayhem
Maybe they were scambling for a photo shoot when I mentioned your name :p

Very nice capture, Richard! I feel for the ol' dad in the photo. I remember what it was like having teenagers. There were definitely some trying times way back then. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, as I did with my entire family. And may 2023 brings you and yours good health and happiness!

Some more from down under.:-)

#1 is the Bush Stone-curlew or Bush Thick-knee, a large ground- dwelling bird with a wingspan of 55-60 cm. They can live for 20 years, sometimes more. They are a terrestrial predator adapted to stalking and running. It is a striking bird with a striking call that is a haunting, wail like sound that rises with a slight quiver, dropping at the end and often repeated a number of times in quick succession.

#2 is a Crimson Rosella.

Both taken on a recent trip to the Lamington National Park.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

These are two outstanding close up shots, Dennis! The colors of the Crimson Rosella are simply gorgeous!

Thank you kindly Ed.
Those American Bitterns sure are elusive.
It made a brief appearance then disappeared into the tall grass.
Happy New Year.
