Fishing @ Dusk to commemorate the sun setting on 2022.

I surely like this one, Phil. To me, it creates a mood of tranquility.
Cool looking shot of this Bald Eagle, Paul! 1/10 of a second later and you would have to post it on birds in flight

A Pied-billed grebe from my morning outing to North Creek Commons--part of the Lake Washington watershed--Enjoy.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if my bird ID's need a correction--I really would appreciate that--thanks.
Pied-billed Grebe
Really nice capture of the pied-billed grebe, Rich!
Rainbow Lorikeets enjoying a New Year's Day splash in our back garden.

Cheers

It's gotta be entertaining watching these beauties splashing around in their bathtubs, Dennis. Terrific Captures!
This is such an incredibly sharp, detailed close-up of the Masked lapwing, Harry! Great work.
I really like this shot of the Whiskered Bulbul! Very nice, sharp image, Harry!
The Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis)
I didn't realise some Silvereyes migrate to Mainland Australia, but not all
Tiny birds would certainly battle the elements crossing Bass Straight
The sky was like in photo - completely featureless

Excellent capture of the Silvereye, Richard! It is so sharp and lifelike!
Happy new year 2023 everybody!
Pomeranian goose

Few days ago in Germany
Location: Sachsenhausen, 60594 Frankfurt, Germany
Nice sharp close-up shots of the Pomeranian goose, RAL! I notice that this guy is banded.
On my last day of birding in 2022, I was lucky to capture a Little Kingfisher (see Kingfisher thread), and with the sky a bit clearer today, I thought, why not start the new year and try to find it again? Couldn't believe my luck when he turned up after only a few minutes. He came even closer and was sitting just a few metres away on the border of the boardwalk. Such a vivid blue!!

This is my favorite of your two shots, Ulrike. I really like the natural looking setting in this shot.
I accidentally posted this under BIF so I'm reposting it where it should've been originally.
My last shot of 2022, an osprey enjoying his meal.
This is really a crack'in shot, Kirk!
