You'd think they'd need racing goggles :p.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. They must have some really good nictitating membrane.

These are both very nice captures, Kirk! My favorite is the Osprey.

Very captivating shot, Paul! Beautifully captured!

Lovely captures of the Brahminy starling, Sunil! Very attractive bird. Love the feather detail.

Gorgeous shot of the Bee Eater, Sunil!

Outstanding capture of the female Superb Fairy Wren, Richard! She has a relaxed look about her.

Steve, your Cooper's Hawk image is really super! I most definitely like this one!

Outstanding, colorful shot of the hen mallard, fotoi!

Lovely shot, SYS!

Wonderful capture of the Greater Roadrunner, Tom!

What a cool shot, Matt! Very nicely photographed!

Thank you, Mike.

I spotted this urban osprey, and if you don't know it, they are usually very particular about their space. Apparently, I got too close, and it took off. I saw it down the street on another light pole but I just kept riding past it so it could eat in peace.

A woodpecker set!!

The woods behind my house are full of woodpeckers, and they visit my backyard every day. I've managed to photograph 3 of the 5 species that live there. One of these days, I'll get a shot of the hairy that visits but doesn't want to perch anywhere except the suet feeder. The pileated, of course, just laughs from deep in the woods. I'll have to pursue it over there one of these days.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
