Thank you, Sys. It's a bulbul, a common resident of North Africa, Middle East and South Asia. I think they are a family in its own right, unrelated to jays or other corvids.

That Spoonbill had just finished taking a bath, vigorously slapping the water.
Sometimes I feel it's a mating display.
