Very cool looking, attractive shot of the Northern Shrike, all puffed up, Steve! I truly enjoy viewing this capture.

Thanks so much, Mike!

Very cool looking shot, EB! I surely had to strain my neck trying to look at this guy, right side up. :p:lol:

Nice capture!

Thanks both for the comments on the White-breasted Nuthatch. Apart from being cool upside down so much, it always amazes me to see how their colors camoflage them by matching their surrounding.

I enjoy the antics of these little rascals in my garden - the black-capped chickadees and the chestnut-backed chickadees. They are curious, feisty, and bold. I can usually stand out there, and they will get within a couple of feet of me. Love 'em!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Excellent capture of this elusive little guy, Lester!

This guy posed perfectly for you, Paul! I really like the position of the wings in this shot. I find it to be a very appealing image.

Terrific shot, showing the eagle along with it's surroundings, Richard! Very interesting photo caption. Quite informative.

Two very nice, very sharp images, Kirk! I especially like the shot of the yellowlegs, due to the eye contact with the bird.

Lovely capture of the Barrow's Goldeneye, sogs! I really like it.

Very cool looking, attractive shot of the Northern Shrike, all puffed up, Steve! I truly enjoy viewing this capture.

I love this shot of the Cactus Wren, Tom! I like the setting and the composition very much. Very nice work.

Extremely nice capture of the Long-tailed Tit, John! You brought this bird to life with such a tack sharp image!

Many thanks.

Thanks Mike
It's back again right now.
I paid it a brief visit the left.
Then! It flew down and over me at the house. I was mesmerised.
Only time I've seen them up close befire is on top of a mountain and they'd ride the currents, motionless at eye height about 30 metres, 100 feet away.

Unfortunately they're listed as endangered under the Tasmanian Threatened Species Protection Act 1995. It is included in the Federal list as an endangered subspecies.

very nice Ulrike. The lens is certainly resolving a lot of his feather detail.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
