Well it would be rude to not return the compliment Lester, I love the way this one looks poised to take off again, just moments after you released the shutter, as I'm sure it probably did..

Ha ha, yes there were several - not still for a moment.

Thank you. I use an unextended monopod and sit or kneel on the ground to get the low angle of view. At a distance from the bird, it gives the impression of being flat on the ground. :-)

Well done. I'm going to try and do this for my waterfowl whenever possible. The low angle looks so much better!

I enjoy the antics of these little rascals in my garden - the black-capped chickadees and the chestnut-backed chickadees. They are curious, feisty, and bold. I can usually stand out there, and they will get within a couple of feet of me. Love 'em!

They are definitely little rascals. Great images!

Two great captures!

Good catch! I've yet to see even a Common this year.

Thank you! There's commons here and there but the Barrow's are way less. Ebird lists the Barrow's as rare in this area even though guides list them as wintering here.

Nice shot of the Iceland Gull!

thanks. I going to say it's a Herring gull though, as they are so common around here.

More black-necked stilts. They're super skittish, I can never get closer than 30 feet of them. They're very delicate looking birds.
