Certainly detailed Pippan
Is that fleshy bit under its beak normal?
I've seen similar on a wren and wondered if it had a disease?
That I don't know Richard. I've never noticed it before TBH.

A Beauty! The colors really stand out. Two great shots! Nice one! You captured the color well. Not a nuisance in my opinion. We have Common Grackles here and the Starlings are way worse when they gather in the fall and mess all over my truck. I just wash it. They all serve a purpose. Very nice shot! Beautiful bird! Quite a larger beak than the Superb Fairy Wrens. Many thanks, sogs! It's interesting how birds intuitively know that their eggs have to be moved around in order to insure hatching. Terrific shot of our American Robin, Jimmy! Neat looking pose. Nice shot of the hen wood duck, fotoi! These are both great captures, Kirk! I especially like the shot of the Limpkins. Two beautifully captured shots of the Red-backed Fairy-wrens, Pippan! I can't get over how brilliant their red color is. Very much appreciated, Mike!
