If so, it would be the first time I imaged one since I have only seen red-tailed hawks.

Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts More info | Mar 02, 2023 22:24 | #25071 Very nice shot. The drake mandarin duck wins the beauty contest. Stunning shot of the male Superb Fairy Wren, Richard! Beautifully composed. In my opinion...one of your best! Tack sharp image, Richard! I love this setting. Ya just can't beat a rusty ol' barbed wire fence for it's rustic appeal (at least in my opinion) Terrycanon wrote in post #19487650 This blackbird lives in our garden, under a hedge hence the high ISO. He ihas some white feathers, which apparently is not that unusual. Sadly, it seems that because he is "different" he is shunned by other blackbirds. Nature is a bit like human nature sometimes... Very nice capture, Terry! This is a form of leucism, and it is supposedly somewhat rare...however it is not nearly as rare as true albinism. jimmy_racoon wrote in post #19487668 Many thanks, Mike! I crossed a semi-frozen pond with snowshoes to get the shot. He was trying to impress a potential mate nearby. Cheers! Great capture, Jimmy! He is displaying quite nicely. By the way...you are a much braver man than I am. Wonderful capture of the Yellow Vented Bulbul, RAL! I like the tilted head. He looks kind of inquisitive. Cool shot, swltr! This wren has a nice round looking appearance. Dontcry4mejanhrdina wrote in post #19487718 Barred owl taken this morning on my property. He kept coming at me for a minute there. Made me a little nervous. Two super nice sandhill crane shots, Kirk! We have a lot of these cranes in my area (at our wildlife refuges) but they have not been very approachable, at least for me. Two outstanding shots of this little wren, Ken. I'm guessing they are a tough bird to get close to and photograph. Very nice Bald Eagle shot, mn shutterbug! Two lovely Eastern Bluebird shots, BioSci! Very nicely photographed shot of the American Robin, Shortaction! Beautiful Northern Shoveler capture, Manny! They are truly a colorful duck. LD, or Mike
