I'm sorry to hear that these Common Bronzewing's have decreased in population numbers. ߘ Congratulations on your first time seeing and capturing this beautiful Crested Pigeon, Neal! You certainly did a wonderful job of photographing it! All four of the shots in this series, are terrific captures of the the snowy egret in hot pursuit, Kirk! You consistently capture different birds in unusual, but very interesting positions. That is a big part of your style, and it's really very nice! Wonderful close-up capture of the Redwing, Cap'n! Nice sharp image. Splendid close-up capture of the White-winged Dove, Tom! Everything about this shot is 1st-rate! Thank you very,Mike. It's been a long while since I've been able to get out with the camera! Neal

Sydney. ![]() I grew up in Sydney and don't remember ever seeing them there, though I became familiar with them in central Australia. But this Christmas I went to Sydney and saw them there too, and many other parts of NSW that I'm sure they never used to be in. Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

The last few years on my walk through this park I've never seen one either. But last November I got this one, I've read they used to be only in WA and inland areas, but have now spread throughout the mainland. Neal

Like the White Ibis that have moved in to Sydney and other coastal areas from inland wetlands since the 1980s. Noisy miners, too, seem to be spreading. Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Absolutely. See plenty of White Ibis and I've had the occasional Noisy Miner behind my house in Quakers Hill. Neal
