Incidentally I pulled up the dump of images from the outing and some did have some obvious motion blur in them. Still other images just seem off to me. FWIW and the excellent advise given by Pippan notwithstanding, the digital darkroom tool you are using is a very good tool and as with any other tool it takes time to learn to use it well/easily. All of the stuff in my gallery here is processed with Darktable only. Most of the photos there only took a few minutes to process and most of that time is spent deciding on the crop!
