What a great capture Paul! I surely got smile out of this one. How in the world did you get him to pose like that? Cog2020 wrote in post #19490727 Crested lark ![]() ![]() Two outstanding captures of the Crested Lark, Cog! Quite appealing! Beautiful drake wood duck shot, fotoi! Very nice shot of the double banded American Oystercatcher, sogs! drsilver wrote in post #19490823 I read a piece somewhere in the past where the author was of the opinion that, from his vantage point, there are only 3 kinds of birds: Pigeons, Eagles and Little Brown Birds. In a few years of photographing birds, I've become more discerning than that, but not by much, and not today. And so, for your perusal, I offer a portrait of a Little Brown Bird. This is quite an attractive shot of the Little Brown Bird, drsilver! I'm glad I finally learned what they are actually called. drsilver wrote in post #19490825 Another very nice capture, drsilver pev11 wrote in post #19490844 Not the best lighting to work with, but I managed a decent shot of this guy yesterday: Oh WOW...this is a beautiful peacock capture, pev 11! They are tack sharp and very lifelike. Well Kirk...We do not have those ducks out here in California, and since I've never been to Florida, I'm going to take a guess and call them male and female Mottled Ducks. I pretty sure that's what they are. Very nice shot of the pair, and that is truly a lovely shot of the pied-billed grebe! Incredible sharpness with this Pied heron close-up, Pipan! Smashing capture of the juvenile Great Horned Owl, Paul! Terrific photography. Lovely loon capture, Clough! Two super nice captures Astoria! The colors possessed by the Purple Gallinule are simply amazing. What a great capture this is, of the White-breasted Waterhen, RAL! It is definitely a smile shot! LD, or Mike
