I can't believe it, Steve...these two pelicans are identical twins! :p Super nice shot, by the way! What a perfect capture!

Thanks, Mike. From what I hear they taste like mud. Hence, mud hens.

You got that right, Kirk. They can gag a maggot!

Terrific capture of this beautiful Purple Gallinule with humongous feet, Ed! They sure must make it easy for him to walk on lily pads.

Cool looking shot Ed! Not something you see all that often. I'd like to see this guy race a duck across the pond. My money would be on the duck.

Thanks so much, Mike. Not sure how we would go about organizing a race between the egret and a duck. But if it happens, I would want to be there to see it! :-D

Outstanding shot of the Carolina Wren, Bill! The especially like the composition of this image.

Great shot of these three Black-bellied whistling ducks, Bill. They've been renamed. I've always know them a Black-bellied, tree ducks. I wonder why their names were changed?

Excellent capture of this cute little fuzzy bugger, Paul!

Superb capture of the Canada Goose, fotoi! Great color.

Terrific capture of this beautiful Purple Gallinule with humongous feet, Ed! They sure must make it easy for him to walk on lily pads.

Cool looking shot Ed! Not something you see all that often. I'd like to see this guy race a duck across the pond. My money would be on the duck.

Both these shots are beautifully photographed, Kirk! We always refer to coots as mudhens. They are not high on my list of favorite birds.

Lovely capture of the Bearded Tit, Mark! Quite an attractive shot.

Very nice close-up shot of this beauty, reggie!

Terrific capture of these two Gila Woodpeckers, Tom! Both images are sharp, and the setting is great!

Nice capture, Paul...but these guys have awful table manners. :-P

Thanks for the compliments Mike.
The young Great horned Owls have started flying to nearby trees.
Hope they stick around a little while longer.

Those Anhinga Juveniles sure are determined, odd looking critters.

Burrowing Owl - Gathering nesting material.
Burrows tend to make numerous twists and turns, with a mound of dirt at the entrance and an opening at least 4–6 inches wide. The owls often line their burrow with livestock manure, sometimes with feathers, grass, or other materials. Camera: Sony Alpha 1 March 11, 2023 Photograhed in SW Florida USA.

beautiful photo and the added narrative makes very nice presentation Jonathan

A truly nice capture of these two Superb Fairy Wrens, out in the rain, Richard! When I saw the length of your rain drops, I kinda figured you were shooting at a little bit slower shutter speed. I always like seeing rain drops in peoples photos.

many thanks Mike. I too love showing these in the inclement weather.
