Thank you. This was in a marshy area and the whistling ducks like to hang out in trees for some reason.

I see this in Florida too. Makes for some amusing photos.

Happy trails.

Beautiful capture of junior!

Two excellent captures!

Little Egret (Egretta garzetta nigripes (external link)) in breeding flush. Note the reddish lores, long plumes from the back of its head, and streaming plumes from its breast and rump. Incidentally, the slightly out-of-focus young Pied Heron is in transition from white-headed juvenile (like the very out-of-focus bird further back) to dark grey-headed adult plumage.

Really great shot!

Time waits for no one!

Thanks for the compliments Mike.
The young Great horned Owls have started flying to nearby trees.
Hope they stick around a little while longer.

Those Anhinga Juveniles sure are determined, odd looking critters.

A couple shots from this morning at a new location south of me in Sarasota, it's a place called, "The Celery Fields." You're restricted in this particular area to shooting from a platform above the water. It's a very popular place for birders, so if you're in the area .......
A sandhill crane with chicks and a drake, blue-winged teal.

Two great shots! Love the Sandhill Crane with the little ones.

Burrowing Owl - Gathering nesting material.
Burrows tend to make numerous twists and turns, with a mound of dirt at the entrance and an opening at least 4–6 inches wide. The owls often line their burrow with livestock manure, sometimes with feathers, grass, or other materials. Camera: Sony Alpha 1 March 11, 2023 Photograhed in SW Florida USA.

Excellent capture of the Burrowing Owl!

Many thanks Bill.
That's a family of Great Horned Owls.
They just started flying and are developing little ears.:-)
The Barred Owl has brown/black eyes.
Here's an image of their Parent and another of the 2 kiddos.
Happy trails.
