I'm over 500 posts behind on this thread. Trying to catch up.

Here's a Yellow Crowned Night Heron portrait. Another one!! Cool birds, not frequently seen despite wide distribution. Lucky to find a few.

Excellent image. We get the occasional, and I mean occasional Black Crowned Night Heron on our side of the pond and they're quite elusive too.

Thanks John. We have both black and yellow crowned here in Florida but neither is a common sighting!! These are the first yellows I've ever seen on a nest.

A great possibility it didn't. The wee fella took off just after I took the pic and I didn't have time to hang around.

This certainly is a cute shot of mamma and her ducklings, Paul! I don't know my Florida ducks that well, but this looks to me like a family of mottled ducks. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Outstanding capture of this Common Snipe, Cog! Low camera angle and image sharpness really brings this shot to life!

I was shooting from my car while watching this Red-shouldered hunt from a farm fence. It took time out to give me a good old fashioned stare down.

Stunning capture of this beauty, Steve! This shot really pops!

Terrific three shot series of the Dartford Warbler, John! All are razor sharp.
