Outstanding capture of this Common Snipe, Cog! Low camera angle and image sharpness really brings this shot to life!

Lame-Duck wrote in post #19493178 (external link)
Very nicely captured shots of the common snipes. I find that our snipes here in the states are very reclusive and often difficult to photograph.

Thank you, Mike! It's the same here. I would see them once or twice a year only for a few secs. I was extremely lucky this time. After spending two hours lying on the rocks in camouflage, I noticed this guy hiding between rocks on a small island. And then he just appeared within a shooting distance...

Bill, you are on a roll!!! Great stuff from you lately. Even better than your usual great images!!

Ed, appreciate the comment. Not really doing anything different other than my change of location and being more selective with shots.

Bill I agree with Ed
I've always enjoyed your posts but these latest are really special.
Yes, maybe being more selective, but they are very nice.
This low down to the water shot is a view we don't often see.
Colourful and detailed

I was shooting from my car while watching this Red-shouldered hunt from a farm fence. It took time out to give me a good old fashioned stare down.
