Well Mike, it's a very intelligent looking bird obviously found some thing to capture its interest.

So interesting to see Western versions of related birds we have in the East. Mike, you caught its head at a great angle, as if it's inspecting you...really nice touch.

Like, you Steve, I'm always interested in seeing the differences between the eastern and western varieties of our related birds. I thank you for your kind comments about this shot...much appreciated.

Awesome shot, Dennis! Love the grebe's pose. I even like this one better than the grebe image you posted on the "show me your best are you looking at me shots."

Thanks Mike, the little guy was posing quite nicely for me, compared to their often far away, middle of the lake location, where even a 1,000mm lens would be too short.

Frame it big

Mike and Rob I'm going to put together a series of my birds and get them into a book for my self. Also I've picked out some favourites and will get them printed and mounted in some Tasmanian Native timber frames I've machined.
That's a project in making.

Pippan these Ibis are beautiful. I was introduced to them in Townsville years ago.

Beautiful photo of this attractive Gallinule in its natural setting.
They are very striking birds and similar to our Bald Coots as ours are known.
