All great captures! If you're interested, you can submit the Oystercatcher band info to the Oystercatcher Working Group https://amoywg.org/ and you can then track your bird. I submitted a couple that I saw in Connecticut and they went to Cedar Key in florida for the winter.

And when they do land somewhat-close, you can almost be 100% certain there's a stick blocking them. It's all good though, these little birds nest in my area (there were a few nesting pairs behind my land last year), so I should have ample opportunity to grab some sots this summer.

I believe this is a Dusky Flycatcher, but Empidonax sp is as far as I would go for betting purposes.

. Actually, they're easier to ID in the field based on the way they move their tails.
