I believe this is a Dusky Flycatcher, but Empidonax sp is as far as I would go for betting purposes.

Terrific close-up of the Sandhill Crane, Paul! Super sharpness and detail.

Lovely shot of the Dickcissel, Bill! I don't really know why, but I always enjoy seeing birds posed on barbed-wire fences.

Wonderful capture of the Indigo Bunting, Bill!

Two excellent shots of your common local dove, Pippan! They are beautiful birds!

Simply outstanding capture of your Black-naped Oriole, RAL! What a beauty!

Outstanding capture of this gorgeous Brown-throated Sunbird, RAL!

Wow...beautiful double banded Oystercatcher, Kirk! Terrific shot.

This Willet is also a very nice capture, Kirk!

Beautiful drake Wigeon, fotoi! Great color!

Thank you, Mike.

Definitely not the ugly duckling.

I was thinking of printing the first image Bill, and thanks to you it now has a title... :)

Thanks LD, often we don't pay then any mind because we see them all the time, but when we look closely at them it becomes obvious how beautiful they are.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Love the jewelry. Nice shot.

Thanks, Bill. That bird wears more jewelry than me.

All wonderful images!

Well done!

Two beauties!

All great captures! If you're interested, you can submit the Oystercatcher band info to the Oystercatcher Working Group https://amoywg.org/ (external link) and you can then track your bird. I submitted a couple that I saw in Connecticut and they went to Cedar Key in florida for the winter.

Great shot!

Nice one! They can be tough!

Well done!

Excellent shot! Dusky or Gray. I'd lean towards Dusky.

Thanks, sogs!
