Stunning shot of the Northern Parula, Bill! I'm amazed how beautiful this bird is!

Both are truly outstanding captures of the Black-headed Grosbeak, Ken! Great work!

I'm guessing you and the heron are pleased with this shot. The frog, not so much.

thanks Mike, yes she's putting on her best
Thanks for your very kind comments. They are greatly appreciated

Mike that's a lovely bird and beautifully captured.
I love the stance. The bloom makes an interesting background

I do enjoy our scrub jays, Richard. They possess a lot of personality, and I love to just sit and watch them at play. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and encouraging compliment.

Thanks, Mike. It was nice of him to pose on an open branch. They can become almost invisible in the leaves.

I think this is a male Superb Fairy Wren sporting his blue tail. Doesn't have the brown eye lore of the female.
Beak is brownish not black as in typical males
It gets confusing as both male and female can have blue tails with the male a more intense colour than female so I believe
Only males have highly coloured head and upper body
