Beautiful shot!

Nicely done!

I thought this was a rarity but it's not. Learned something new today. Great capture!

Good one!

Nice shot of the Finch!

The Bluebird can't be bothered. Fine capture!

That was a nice surprise. Wonderful capture!

Superb shot!

Thanks, sogs. I don't know about other places but they are rare in Florida.

Action shots are always interesting, and this is a nice one.

Correct, and nicely photographed. The large size and long, downward curved bill are the keys. This particular curlew is called a WhimbrelI, but I don't know why "curlew" isn't part of the name. You've probably got Long-billed Curlews around somewhere as well.

Thank you. I found out that it is a whimbrel but are you saying it's part of the curlew family? I'll have to research a bit.
Edit: Ok, I just found out that there are eight species of curlew, and the whimbrel is one of them.

Yes. They are all members of genus Numenius.

Oh well, it's a good shot anyway!

White Morph Reddish Egret

I spotted this white morph reddish egret going wild running around trying to catch fish @ Hidden Lagoon on North Beach yesterday.

Your three bird series is very nicely done, Cog! I kinda favor the Laughing Dove on a rope.
