Striated Pardalote - one of my favourite dry season birds. This one was building a nest right next to a popular beachfront coffee place with dogs and kids running all over. It didn't seem to care and just kept coming back and digging. We might need to put up a sign and ask people to walk around :-)

Great shots Ulrike! We went to a landscaping yard in Pinelands last week and they were nesting in the piles of soil and sand! I don't like their chances though.:-(


Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
