Very good timing. The bird seems to have an expression about seeing the wasp.

I finally got a couple half decent portraits of these birds.

Belted Kingfisher..the ones in my area are so skittish it's difficult to get close

Eastern Meadowlark...it's like whack-a-mole to catch them when they pop up in the open for a few seconds

Nice sharp close-up!

Good capture! Looks like a Great Black Backed Gull.

Definitely interesting, but not pretty! Fine capture!

Very good sharp shot!

Another I've never heard of. Great capture!

That's a beauty!

Wonderful shot!

Two terrific shots!

What a look! Good one!

Thanks for those compliments Sogs.

Terrific Bald Eagle captures, Maureen!

Nice shot of the Lesser Black-backed Gull, Ray! I like seeing some of the Gull's environment.

Beautiful drake Mallard portrait shot, fotoi!

Your Brown Goose is a very attractive looking bird, Michael. Great shot! I tried to look this this goose up on Google, but couldn't find any information on it.

Two excellent Barn Swallow shots, Cap'n!

This shot of the American white ibis is really a beauty, Kirk! I like the breaking wave...it adds appeal in my opinion.

Beautiful Meadowlark shot, Joe! I haven't had a single shot at one, so far this year. They are one of my favorite subjects.

Terrific Eagle shot, Jimmy! I love the setting.

What a unique, well timed shot of the Burrowing Owl, Paul. I wonder what this guy is looking at?

Thanks, Mike.

Thank you Mike.
That burrow was located near a baseball field.
The Owl might have spotted a fly ball.

Beautiful shot. That water make a great background.

Thank you very much.

Thanks, Kirk. I wouldn't expect to see one of these in July.

I have no idea what it is, something from way up north I take it.

Babcock Ranch - Blue Jay ! The Blue Jays make a large variety of calls that carry long distances. Most calls produced while the jay is perched within a tree. Charlotte County Florida

Barred Owl - a day in the field wouldn't be complete without stopping in to see if this Barred Owl is still in it's tree. Definitely one of my favorite birds to photograph. Image Captured in SW Florida Camera: Sony Alpha 1 July 18, 2023

Red-Shoulder Hawk - in the field today I counted no less than 30 Red-Shoulder Hawks. While most were perched way off in the distance , this one happen to be on a long dead tree about 50 yards from the gravel road. Image captured in SW Florida Camera: Sony Alpha 1 July 18, 2023

A great blue heron. I didn't like the harsh light in the bg so I thought it looked better in B&W.
