That burrow was located near a baseball field.
The Owl might have spotted a fly ball.

Splendid capture of the Burrowing Owl, Paul! This little guy stands out so nicely. They always have such an intense looking stare...and that's why I find them such appealing owls.

I have no idea what it is, something from way up north I take it.

I'm seeing on ebird they are here this time of year but I haven't seen any in a while. It's a northern parula.
