K9Kirk Likes neck nibbling and soft growls in the ear More info | Oct 25, 2023 21:46 | #36517 Lester Wareham wrote in post #19573112 Ok bit odd, as only 1/3 of a stop between the 100-400 and 100-500, I only stop down for closeup stuff and don't notice a prob. Very similar to the Tamron which I was using until a year ago. I also ran that wide open, rarely used in closeup because of focus accuracy. I guess the difference is the focal length, 500 will give more differential focuss than 400. I just ran across this article, it explains it. “You can’t stop what’s comin’; it ain’t all waitin’ on you—that’s vanity.” - Uncle Ellis
