I’m guessing you are using a 1.4 extender. May I ask which version and are you pleased with the performance? Also, does the extender affect your autofocus area?

I have a 50/50 chance for the right identification and I'm going with Sharp-shinned. Merlin bird ID makes it out to be a Sharp-shinned hawk. So you must be right on the money. Neal

I had it narrowed down to these two as well, but was leaning towards the Cooper's as the tail seemed to have a rounded bottom rather than square. My mother was a very avid birder in her day, me not so much, just know enough to think I'm right when I'm really wrong! LOL
