Very nice Bill. Nice composition, exposure and a clean background.

Appreciate it, Tom.

I was chatting to a fellow photographer when I was taking the photos and he told me the Lizard choughs had about 80 chicks this year. When you think that they only returned to Cornwall in 2001 it's quite remarkable. We even had a couple on the Malvern Hills two years ago, the first time since 1836 if memory serves (not that I was about in 1836 you understand).

Fortunately for photographers they are about the tamest of the crow tribe and don't seem bothered by people at all.

I also saw a couple on the north coast near Porthtowan but I didn't have my long lens with me as we were doing a fairly long coast path walk and I wasn't going to carry that lump around all day!

Remarkable indeed, 23 pairs in all bred successfully. I was on the Lizard at the end of September and had 6 on the cliffs at Church Cove, same as you - long coast walk, no suitable lens. I had 3 in flight at Lizard Point which was pretty special, and I did have the right lens. :)

Lovely shot!

Girl at Pancho's: I just noticed that a fancy pilot like Slick over there doesn't have his picture on your wall. What do you have to do to get your picture up there anyway?
