Hot off the press from tonight after a storm, poor light conditions but no issues with that f2.8 pulling in the little light there was. Needed 1/50th to keep the ISO down.

Background colors against white bird are really great!!!!!

Thank you! The turning colors of the leaves created a beautiful background!

Richard...this is really a killer shot! Due to the 3D effect, this wren is really lifelike in appearance. Definitely one of my favorites.

These guys are typically "micro-missles". This one actually sat still for more than an instant and was kind enough to let both of us photograph it. I actually had to move back due to MFD.

Rich your Waxwings sure are beautiful and I can appreciate why they're on your favourite list.
With some the detail doesn't come through but yours certainly shows that.
Are they not easy to photograph?

Now that's a beauty.
Love the stance, and the colours.
The legs and feet look hand painted.
It's definitely got you lined up :-)

Thank you very much, Richard. I definitely enjoy reading your great comments. They are always very uplifting.

Pretty snazzy feet, nice shot Mike. Happy trails.

Thank you muchly, Paul. I have to agree with you about his feet. It looks as though he got a brand new pair of yellow socks.:-)

This is a great picture Mike! I love the way that you have caught it on the fence rather than the usual in or near the water!

Many thanks Mark! Its always nice to be able to catch them in different environmental settings.
