Pippan Cream of the Crop More info Post edited over 2 years ago by Pippan. | Nov 24, 2021 14:04 | #6797 Time to eat birds in some parts of the world but in Australia's Top End (the north), the wet season is beginning and it's time for birds to take advantage of the subsequent explosion of growth and life. So here is a pair of shining flycatchers from this morning at Howard Springs. They appear to take turns sitting and I assume there are now eggs in the nest (it's a bit high to see) so I'm hoping to get some photos of the chicks when they hatch. Especially if they have the bright colours inside their mouths that the adults do. The pretty cinnamon, black and white bird is the female. Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
