Bill this is exceptionally beautiful.

Clipper your red headed honey eater shots are very nice.
They're beautiful birds in very nice settings.

Awesome.
This really is nature at its best.
That would look very nice hanging on the wall.
Very well done Sid

This is really a very attractive shot, Richard. The red color of the callistemon adds so much to this terrific wattlebird photo.
This image is so nicely photographed, Richard! You surely nailed the sharpness, and the composition. Very appealing photo.

Really nice sharp image, Richard. I like this clinging to the tree pose that you were able to get.
Lovely capture of this little up and comer, Richard.

Many thanks Mike for your kind comments. :-) I got way behind with replies :-(

male Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo ~ Calyptorhynchus funereus
currently 6 have taken up temporary lodgings here and they wheel and screech about in the inimitable way. Beautiful birds to have but are very destructive on vegetation. They have stripped the bark off the upper branches of this Banksia (Bottlebrush)

Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos feed in small to large, noisy flocks. The favoured food is seeds of native trees and pinecones, but birds also feed on the seeds of ground plants. Some insects are also eaten.
