Nice Mike, they look so close to the Eastern one we have here. They are my favorite of the song birds that visit our yard. They have such a calming sound.
Thank you Rob. I wish I could hear their songs. I lost so much of my hearing at a fairly young age, and unfortunately I'm unable to hear the songs of most birds. I never imagined hearing loss would be such a big deal.

Our eastern and western bluebirds are quite similar in appearance. We also have a mountain bluebird in the western US that is more noticeably different from its western and eastern cousins.
